Champions Carlisle are back on top of the Cumbria League’s Premier Division.
The city side were five wicket winners at Millom, who had made a promising start to the season themselves.
Carlisle won the toss and invited their hosts to bat first, a decision which quickly paid off.
The only real resistance came in the middle order from Graham Dawson (35) and late on from Luke Ivison (19).
Millom were eventually bowled-out for 120 in 39.2 overs with spinners Nico Watt (3-15) and Johnny Westgarth (3-35) doing most of the damage.
Although they lost two quick wickets Carlisle were put in charge by professional Michael Slack (43) and Graeme Ion (40no), eventually reaching their target with five wickets and 4.2 overs to spare.
Carlisle moved to the top after Workington, who have led the table since the first week, were beaten at Furness by 79 runs.
It was an important response by Furness after their own heavy defeat by Cockermouth a week earlier.
Furness had won the toss and batted first, and after some early boundaries home professional Yash Dubey was sensationally caught and bowled by Workington captain Matty Lowden for 12.
After this, despite keeping the score under control through some accurate bowling, the lack of wickets gave the excellent Furness batsmen a great platform.
Sam Dutton (67), Lewis Gribbin (62) and Liam Curwen (41no) scored freely and they piled-up 249-5 in their 50 overs.
Dan McDermott, with 2-51 had the best return among the Workington bowlers.
Workington never recovered from losing two early wickets for only eight runs, and the fact they got as high as 170 all out was mainly down to a fine 72 by Kiwi Davis Mills off 111 balls. He was sixth out at 137.
Gary Thompson did best with the ball for Furness taking 3-17.
Egremont featured in a tie last week at Keswick and they followed-up by going down to the last ball again when they lost by four wickets at Cockermouth.
After winning the toss and batting first Egremont made 167-8, an innings which was held together by their professional Vathsal Govind.
After an opening stand of 49 between Mike Hunter (30) and Ollie Wilford (19), Govind was there for the rest of the innings making a patient 53no from 96 balls.
Cockermouth’s county spinner Matthew Siddall took 3-17.
It wasn’t easy for the home side and it needed an excellent knock from skipper Matthew Sempill (70no) to see his side through to a tense win off the final ball.
Professional Sameera Sadamal (24) and Gareth White (21) gave most support.
Shaun Bostock was the most successful Egremont bowler with 3-15 from his ten overs.
Keswick collected their first win of the season at Cleator, despite going into the game without a number of front-line bowlers.
Ex-Durham and Cumbria bowler Paul Hindmarch rose to the occasion though with a crucial contribution which earned him 5-25 from his ten overs.
Cleator were bowled out for 106 in 36.2 overs and that owed much to a last wicket stand of 40 between David Glover (20no) and Connor Hodgson (17).
Earlier Stephen Hindmarch had put Keswick in a strong position with a fine unbeaten century (103no) after they had been put into bat.
Fifty of them came in boundaries (11 fours and a six) and he faced 132 deliveries.
There was strong support from professional Risith Upamal (66) and brother Paul Hindmarch (42) as they reached 263-6 in their 50 overs.
Wigton are still seeking their first win of the season after a tight contest at home to Lindal Moor.
They eventually went down by six runs, dismissed off the fourth ball of the final over.
Choosing to bat first Lindal Moor got to 180-9 in their 50 overs led by the top order of Edward Waind (47), Callum McDougall (30) and Abe Brown (22).
Lewis Little was the most successful Wigton bowler taking 3-41.
Wigton, helped by 33 runs each by Kieran Little and Chris Hodgson, got themselves in sight of victory as Lewis Little (40) appeared to hold the key.
But he was run out and Glen Liddle also perished on 174 leaving the home side agonisingly close to that first elusive win.
Cameron Troughton was the most successful Lindal bowler with 3-39.
There was an important win, too, for Haverigg by 30 runs at Whitehaven.
Dale Graham’s knock of 73 not out was pivotal to the win for Habverigg and with most support from Liam Ford (25), batting at nine who was out of the last ball, they reached 191-8.
Chase Young (2-11) and Tom De Gelder (2-20) were the main Whitehaven bowlers.
Whitehaven started well enough through skipper Stephen Holliday (37) and Josh Foster (35) but there was only really a late surge from Kian Larmour (25) to give the innings momentum.
They were bowled-out in 48.3 overs for 161 with Craig Armstrong (3-36) doing best with the ball for Haverigg.
