
Two quarter final games in the Firpress Printers Cumberland Cup will be staged tonight.
A third scheduled tie has been cancelled because Ellenborough A couldn’t raise a team to play at home to Distington.
Ellenborough first team have a big Cumbrian derby with Millom in the National Conference League tomorrow and Distington will progress to the semi-finals.
The two ties which go ahead should be well contested, particularly the one at Lowca where Kells A are the visitors. Neil Byers, CARL’s most experienced referee will take charge of this one.
In the other quarter final game Wath Brow A, keen to make amends after last week’s E Lamb and Son Amateur Cup final defeat to Maryport, entertain Glasson Rangers. Trevor Dryden will have charge of this one.
There is one Holmen Iggesund Cumberland League game tomorrow in which Cockermouth have home advantage against Hensingham A, whose first team has no Conference League fixture.
