No play was possible on Tuesday between Northumberland and Cumbria Development sides who were due to meet at the South North club.
It was organised as a two-day friendly and the state of the weather today will determine the format for any play that is possible.
The original plan was for a two-innings game but it will be limited overs today, probably a 50-overs contest if the weather allows.
Nathan Waterston, Sam Sharp and Freddie Fallows have all experienced senior cricket for Cumbria this season while the rest are younger players trying to make their mark.
