Oh yes, it’s Ladies Night and we’ll make the feeling right by bringing you the very best in racing and fashion at Cumbria’s finest racecourse!

It’s not just Ladies Night off the track either, because out on the course it’s the only all-female jockey race meeting in the UK and anything can happen!
In recent years we’ve had plenty of incredible stories from Ladies Night – one highlight was Fern O’Brien winning in 2019 on her first ever ride just days after her 16th birthday riding for her father Feargal O’Brien.
In 2022 the headlines belonged to the superb Nicola Currie who recorded an incredible treble on Ladies Night.

Ladies Night is all about the fashion, make sure you get your outfit sorted soon! At Carlisle Racecourse and The Jockey Club, we want to make horseracing more accessible and inclusive by no longer implementing a formal dress code.
Instead, we are encouraging Carlisle’s visitors to dress however they feel most comfortable and confident.
Introducing the VL Lounge… For just £35, you can access our new private lounge, brought to you exclusively for this year’s VL Aesthetics Ladies Night.
This includes access to the Premier Bar located next to the parade ring, a glass of fizz or bottle of beer upon arrival, plus a racecard!
Gates open at 4.15pm. First race is at 6.15pm, last race at 8.45pm with an electrifying DJ Set from Radio 1 DJ Adele Roberts to begin from around 9pm.
