A West Cumbrian housing developer has won a prestigious award for its latest estate.

High Grange Developments, based in Whitehaven, won development of the year at the LABC Bricks Awards for Keekle Meadows.

It is the seventh year the firm has won the award.

Keekle Meadows is on the outskirts of the village of Keekle, near Whitehaven.

Celebrating the best in the house building industry, The Bricks has evolved into one of the most exclusive awards in the construction industry. The awards recognise companies and individuals who go the extra mile, regardless of size, to deliver quality in construction.

Lewis Denwood, of High Grange Developments, said: “We are delighted to win Development of the Year again, it’s the biggest compliment we as a company could hope for, the fact independent experts hold us in such high regard is fantastic.

“We owe this to the entire team at High Grange – builders, joiners, electricians, plumbers, painters, roofers, ground workers, plasterers , everyone. It would just not be possible without them.”
