Three former Workington players helped Emley into the first qualifying round of the FA Cup last night.
One of them, Iyrwah Gooden, scored a hat-trick as the Huddersfield side beat Lower Breck of Liverpool 5-1 in their delayed preliminary round tie.
Donae Lawrence started the game while Ruben Jerome came on as a second half substitute.
Reds current boss Danny Grainger signed both Gooden and Jerome during his first spell in charge at Borough Park, while ex-boss Chris Willcock recruited Lawrence during an injury crisis.
Jerome served Reds well for three years, travelling from his Huddersfield home, but opted to stay more local this season by signing for the North East Counties club on his doorstep.
The 5-1 win by Emley sends them to Widnes of NPL West, familiar territory for Jerome, in the first qualifying round when Reds have a home tie with Prestwich Heys of the North West Counties League.
