
In the first division of the Carlisle and District Billiards League, Buffs A beat Southend A 4-2 in an entertaining fixture.
Mick Miller won the battle of the number ones for Southend A, a 32 break helping him to a 100-88 victory.
Buffs A won the number two and number three matches, with Bob Sewell easing to a 100-33 success over Phil Wall, and Dave Hucul defeating Martin Goodhead 100-94.
Alan Trotter made it 3-2 with a 100-68 victory over Laurie Key, leaving recent addition Mike Doherty to win the match with a 100-88 win over Keith Graham.
Other Scores: Inter Qzone 4, Rock 2; Denton Holme 1, Longtown 6; Rock A 5, Qzone 1.

The second division had some excellent play once again, showing the amazing strength in depth of billiards in Carlisle.
The Ex Club derby was the match of the day, with Ex C coming away with a superb 6-1 victory over Ex B.
Titch Beattie won the number one match with an extraordinary 80-37 win over David Sanderson, then it was all one-way traffic with wins for Stuart Burgess (80-71), Stuart Styth (80-42), Peter Marsden (80-29) and Dave Turley (80-25). Included in Turley’s win was a fantastic 39 break.
