Mike Griffiths put Inter Qzone ahead again with a tense 100-97 victory over Willie Cairns before Dave Murray restored parity for Longtown with a 100-39 win over Simon Towns.

In the Second Division, one of the pre-season favourites, Qzone Originals, have had a solid but unspectacular start in the first month, but this week saw them explode into life.
Wins for Matt Lowrie (80-31), Kenny Alcock (80-31), Chris Errington (80-69), Gordon Berry (80-49) and David Edgar (80-64) saw them beat Cons 6-0 and lift themselves up to second with a quarter of the season gone.
Other Scores: Ex C 5, Southend C 1; Buffs B 0, Eastriggs 7; Maggies 0, Southend 7.
In the individual competitions this week, Paul Cowing secured the Division A title after beating Mike Griffiths 279-164.
After winning six of his seven matches in such company, it’s a thoroughly brilliant achievement for Cowing. The Division B and C titles are going down to the wire, with some big matches next Thursday.
