
Two men have been arrested after reports to police that people were trying to get into cars in a West Cumbrian town.
Police are asking people in the area of Brookside in Maryport to check CCTV and doorbell footage as part of their investigation.
The men were arrested yesterday, September 1. Cumbria police received reports at around 10pm of two men trying car doors in the vicinity of Brookside in Maryport and a further report of a car having been broken into.
Officers attended and, following a search of the area, two men were arrested.
The men remain in police custody today.
