
A man in his 60s has died following a serious collision north of Carlisle.
The man, from the Carlisle area, was riding a motorbike when he was involved in the incident with an Audi.
It happened at around 3.30pm yesterday, September 2, at the junction of the A6071 and M6 slip road, over the M6 motorway.
Officers arrested the two occupants of the Audi on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
The road fully reopened at around 9.10pm.
Officers are urging anyone with information which may assist their investigation to get in touch.
They are particularly keen to hear from anyone with dashcam footage which may have captured the incident or the moments leading up to it.
Anyone who witnessed the collision and has yet to come forward is urged to do so.
