Workington’s big meeting tomorrow, the National Development League riders championship, has been called off.
The weather forecast was very poor with rain expected all day and because riders were travelling from all over the country the decision was taken to call it off.
A big crowd was expected, too, at the Northside track with two leading riders from each of the clubs being involved, although Comets number one rider Connor Bailey is committed to ride in Poland.
At the moment no new date has been agreed for the restaging of the Championship.
