Whitehaven’s long-serving centre Chris Taylor has joined local rivals Workington Town for the 2024 season.
Taylor held a testimonial season this year and has been a fixture at the LEL Arena since first signing in 2014.
In his time with Whitehaven Taylor made 182 appearances scoring 50 tries and one drop goal.
He had initially been on loan from Wigan and after a brief spell with Halifax has played for Whitehaven with great distinction.
The 29-year-old is regarded as one of the best defensive centres in the Championship and will be regarded as a key signing for the Fibrus Community Stadium club.
