A meeting has been organised to help save a under-threat branch of the Royal British Legion in the Lake District.
The Keswick branch is in danger of closing unless new volunteers step forward to help run it.
A recent recruitment day at Keswick market, run by county members, did not produce a big response and the branch still remains in danger of folding.
The meeting is to be held at the town’s rugby club tomorrow.
Keswick member Karen Roberts said: ”It would be awful to lose this link to the past, which still works to support former service personnel in need locally. You don’t need to have served in the forces to be a member.”
Anyone interested in finding out more should attend the meeting which starts at 7.15pm on Wednesday, October 18.
