Two Workington street will have drainage and cleaning work carried out next week.

Cumberland Council said the work, part of the £10 million Workington Gateway Project, will begin on Monday on Hall Brow and Ramsay Brow.

It includes surveys of the drainage systems and will be carried out by Lanes for Drains Ltd.

The drainage investigation work is scheduled to commence on Monday, November 6, for a single evening, weather permitting.

The work hours will be between 8pm and 3am.

Residents living between numbers 19 and 43 on Hall Brow are asked to find alternative parking from around 7pm.

There is a possibility of noise from 9pm onwards, due to the use of Jet Vac drainage cleaning equipment, the authority said.
