It’s the old adage for Carlisle United – time to concentrate on their League position – after an FA Cup defeat at Leyton Orient.
They were beaten 3-1, although very much in the contest until the Os scored their third in the first minute of time added on.
For Orient it was a rare first round win as this was only the second time in eight years that they had actually made the second round draw.
The Londoners had taken the lead on 11 minutes from the penalty spot after Owen Moxon had fouled Dan Happe in the box.
Joe Pigott was entrusted with the kick and he successfully sent Tomas Holy the wrong way.
Carlisle suffered a major blow four minutes later when midfielder Callum Guy was stretchered off with a leg injury.
Orient could have been two-up before half-time but Pigott couldn’t profit from an excellent cross from El Mizouri.
Four minutes into the second-half Joe Garner tested home keeper Sol Brynn with a stinging drive but a minute later he was celebrating.
A good cross from Ben Barclay saw Garner get there first and he headed in the equaliser.
It was nip and tuck but Orient got back in front on 65 minutes when Aaron Drinan managed to stretch to reach a cross from Tom James and steer past Holy.
Carlisle were still battling but Orient made the tie safe at the start of time added on when Ruel Sotiriou was on hand to dive the ball under Holy to find the net.
