Barrow produced a fine performance to win 3-1 at Northampton Town and seal their place in the second round of the FA Cup.
The Cobblers have found life tough since winning promotion to League One and certainly found it no easier against League Two opposition.
Barrow, just outside the play-offs in League Two made the better side against their hosts who are fractionally above the League One relegation places.
They went ahead after just nine minutes when Emile Acquah got to an Elliot Newby corner and headed home.
Northampton dis respond with Will Hondermarck curling one good effort just wide whiled Sam Hoskins had a shot blocked in a good position.
The equaliser did arrive, however after 29 minutes when Hoskins managed to charge down a clearance from Niall Canavan and Mitch Pinnock was well position to collect the rebound and fire home.
Dom Telford had a good opportunity to restore the Barrow lead but shot wide and at the other end Hoskins should have done better when through on goal but he slid his shot wide.
It proved a crucial miss for soon after, on 52 minutes, when Tom White let one go from distance and with the help of a big deflection it wrong-footed home keeper Max Thompson to find the net.
It got worse for the Cobblers 18 minutes from time when a dreadful mix-up between keeper Thompson and Ali Koiki let in Ben Whitfield to score in an empty net.
