Police have seized around 8kg of cannabis with an estimated street value of around £80,000 after officers stopped a vehicle on the M6 near Kendal.
Officers made the stop near Killington Services on Friday, November 17.
Quan Din Ngo, 30, of no fixed address, has since been charged with possession of a class B drug with intent to supply. He is due to appear before Carlisle Crown court on December 21.
A second man, aged 59, was also arrested on suspicion of possession of a class B drug with intent to supply. He has since been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
