
Witnesses are asked to come forward after a man was stabbed at a Lake District railway station last month.
On Friday November 24, at around 3.15pm, it was reported a man was sitting in the waiting room at Windemere station when he was approached by a man and a woman who attacked him.
The victim was stabbed three times, twice in the arm and once in the armpit area, leaving him needing urgent hospital treatment.
As a result of the investigation, a man and a woman have been arrested and they are continuing to assist officers in the investigation.
British Transport Police is investigating the incident and is asking anyone who may have seen anything to come forward. Officers are also interested in talking to anyone in the car park who saw people arriving or leaving the station at that time or those who may have dashcam footage.
