Two people have been arrested after 10 pub-goers in north Cumbria were ‘sprayed with a substance’ on Christmas Eve.
The incident happened at the Throstles Nest on King Street in Wigton.
Police were called at around 10.50pm and emergency services, including the fire service and ambulance personnel, were deployed.
Three people were seen at the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle for treatment and the other seven were treated at the scene by ambulance staff.
No one was seriously injured.
A man, in his 30s, was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and a woman, in her 20s, was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit GBH.
Both have been released on police bail while enquiries continue, police said.
