Barrow Raiders Ladies have announced a pre-season friendly at Huddersfield Giants Women at the end of February.
The game on Sunday, February 25 will be a real test for the Raiders Ladies against a Giants side that competed in Group 1 of the Betfred Women’s Super League in 2023.
That’s the division Barrow will compete in next year following their promotion last season via the play-offs. The friendly will be played at Laund Hill, with a 2pm kick-off.
Head coach Amanda Wilkinson will use the fixture as an opportunity to give her squad vital minutes ahead of the new season, with preparations continuing ahead of their debut campaign at the highest level of women’s club rugby league in the UK.
The fixture could also see new signing Josie Crawford make her Raiders Ladies debut, with more fresh faces set to join the squad over the coming weeks – one of which is expected to be confirmed in the next 48 hours.
The club will continue to liaise with Huddersfield Giants, and ticket information will be confirmed via the Raiders’ official social media channels as soon as possible.
