
There are three flood warnings and seven flood alerts in place for Cumbria in the aftermath of Storm Gerrit.
The Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for the North and West and Scotland on Wednesday due to heavy rain and high winds.
A section of the M6 was closed on Wednesday evening after a multi-vehicle collision at Tebay.
Cumbria police urged drivers to take care on the roads after flooding was reported at Grasmere and Keswick Campsite and Westmorland and Furness’ household waste recycling centres at Flusco, near Penrith, and Ambleside, had to be closed to the public due to localised flooding at the sites’ entrances.
