Cockermouth Harmonic Society’s performance of Mozart’s Requiem will take place next month.
The performance, on Friday, February 2 at St Joseph’s RC Church, Crown Street, Cockermouth at 7.30pm, will also feature a selection of music for the funerals of British queens- Purcell’s funeral music for Queen Mary, Handel’s funeral anthem for Queen Caroline and Judith Weir’s setting of Psalm 42 for the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.
Ian Wright will conduct the choir and soloists who will be accompanied by the Throstle Sinfonia.
Tickets will cost £15 (£14 from a choir member) or £5 for under-16s.
