Work to resurface a Carlisle road will start tonight.
Resurfacing was due to take place on London Road, between Charles Street and Brook Street, from Wednesday January 17, but was delayed due to the storms.
But Cumberland Council said the work is due to start today.
It will take place from 7pm to 1am each night until Friday, February 2.
A temporary road closure is in place, with a diversion route – and the authority said if it was considered safe the road will be accessible outside these hours.
If residents require access to properties, they are asked to chat to the staff on site. Residents are also asked to find alternative parking for their vehicles.
