The major meeting to open the speedway season at Northside has a main sponsor.
Ben Fund Bonanza organisers have announced that their meeting at the Workington track on March 16 will be sponsored by the World Speedway Riders Association.
The WSRA have been involved with the Bonanza for the last couple of years.
The Speedway Riders Benevolent Fund Chairman Paul Ackroyd said: “We’re grateful once again to the WSRA Chairman Bert Harkins and his committee for their backing. We thank them for thinking of us once again.”
The WSRA have had a presence with a stand at recent Bonanzas but that might not be so easy this year as their Celebration of Speedway event at Paradise Park is the following day with a 10am start!
Three riders have been announced for the field of 16 – Ben Barker, Tom Brennan and West Cumbrian star Dan Bewley – with another to be named later this week.
