Cumbria’s two representatives in the BARLA National Cup were out of luck when the draw was made for the first round.

Both Lowca and Cockermouth Titrns have been drawn away for their games on Saturday, April 27.

Lowca, who beat Keighley Albion in a preliminary round game, will travel to Rochdale Mayfield while Cockermouth, who had a bye, will be on the road to Thatto Heath Crusaders.

Both are National Conference Premier Division clubs but will be fielding second teams for these fixtures in the National Cup.

The ties might not be as imposing as at first glance. The Crusaders are in the second tier of the North West Counties League while Mayfield’s second team are in the third tier.

The full draw is: Haresfinch v Siddall; Rochdale Mayfield v Lowca; Dudley Hill v Featherston e Lions; Thatto Heath Crusaders v Cockermouth Titans; Sharlston Rovers v Upton; Mirfield v West Hull; Birkenshaw Bluedogs v Orrell St. James; Folly Lane v Halton Farnworth Hornets.
