Police are appealing for witnesses after a boy threatened bus passengers on their way to Carlisle.
The incident happened on the 685 service while it was on the A69 yesterday, Wednesday April 24.
Nobody was hurt during the incident, which was reported at around 5.10pm.
A boy, in his late teens, was detained by officers and later released while enquiries continue.
Police said they were keen to speak to anyone who was on the bus at the time who may have seen anything suspicious.
