Saturday’s Hound Trailing Association meeting at Lowther Park had to be called off due to fog.
The trails – the second at the venue – were called off.
HTA secretary Fiona Dixon said: “The trails were cancelled as the trailer couldn’t find his way in the mist and fog, but he is ok.”
The trainers and owners are now gearing up for the first major HTA trails of the season – the May Day meeting at Helton Fell.
There are five races on the card with £160 in prizes for each of them and the meeting gets underway with the senior hounds at 4pm.
The running order is: Seniors, senior maidens, pups, puppy maidens, open restricted with the last trail set to go at 7pm.
