Lewis Reilly, who left Workington at the end of the season after two years with the Reds, has signed for Bootle.
Merseyside-based Reilly had joined Workington from Marine and had started his career at Crewe Alexandra, with also a spell at Chorley.
Last season was virtually a on-event for the centre-forward as he suffered a severe ankle injury very early in the campaign which kept him sidelined until well into the New Year
It means he will be back in the NPL West Division next season, and he will always be remembered for his goal which earned Reds promotion twelve months ago.
Reilly, 24, came up with the winner in a 2-1 nail-biter at Borough Park against Runcorn Linnets.
In his first season Reilly made 25 starts and 19 appearances from the bench and scored 12 goals. In the season just ended the serious injury knocked him back to just six starts and 11 substitute appearances, but he managed five goals.
He was more prolific in friendlies and during his two seasons started 12 and came on twice, bagging 12 goals.
