Seaton are keeping pace with champions Cleator Moor Celtic in the west section of the County Veterans League.
With star names Phil McLuckie and Gari Rowntree, former Workington Reds team-mates, now performing for Seaton, they have won all five games so far.
It’s a remake and venue shift of some of the old Netherhall veterans and is proving very successful to date.
Included in that run was a 4-1 win at Celtic but the champions are still in contention, having won their other five games.
Their most recent game on Monday produced a 7-2 win at Moor Row while Seaton were well on top at Borough and finished 9-1 winners.

The Celtic goals were scored by Gary George (2), Barrie Fowler (2), Glen Meagan, Seb Zurek and Mark Connery.
Seaton, who have emerged as strong candidates for this year’s title scored their goals through nine different players – always a bonus when everyone can chip in.

On target were Rowntree and McLuckie, plus Peter O’Donnell, Kevin Connelly, Scott Pears, Kevin Holliday, Will Bowe, Julian Kay and Mally O’Hare.
Top scorers this week were Aspatria who were 12-2 winners at Flimby Social while Senhouse Street and Cockermouth played out one of those rarities, even at Veterans level – a 0-0 draw.
Also all square were St Benedict’s who finished 2-2 at home to Thornhill Bulls.

In the East Division (Premier) there’s no stopping Carlisle City at the moment as they were 6-2 winners over Silloth – their seventh straight win to stay 100%.
Unisun Athletic beat Northbank 6-2 in the other Premier Division game.
In the NE Championship Eden Academicals beat AFC Carlisle 5-2 and Thistle Reivers were 6-2 winners against Milbourne Arms.
