Richard Lawson out of British Final

West Cumbrian Richard Lawson is out of tonight’s British Final at Belle Vue.

Lawson has been medically ruled out with an ankle injury following his guest appearance for King’s Lynn on Thursday.

His absence is one of three late changes to the original line-up.

Steve Worrall has recovered from illness and is able to take his original place in the line-up at No.10.

First reserve Simon Lambert, a former Workington rider who had been drafted in now switches to No.4 as he replaces Danny King, who practiced at Ipswich on Thursday but is not yet ready to return.

Second reserve Drew Kemp replaces Ben Barker, who crashed out at Plymouth on Tuesday and has been forced to withdraw from the Final.

The revised line-up includes four former Comets and current captain Craig Cook, who is a former winner of the event..

DRAW: 1 Drew Kemp, 2 Robert Lambert, 3 Chris Harris, 4 Simon Lambert (ex-Comet), 5 Craig Cook, 6 Connor Mountain, 7 Adam Ellis, 8 Tai Woffinden, 9 Lewis Kerr, 10 Steve Worrall, 11 Dan Bewley (ex-Comet and title holder), 12 Anders Rowe, 13 Rory Schlein, 14 Tom Brennan, 15 Charles Wright (ex-Comet and former winner), 16 Kyle Howarth (ex-Comet). Reserves: 17 Freddy Hodder, 18 Matt Marson.
