Tuesday night saw a four-trail card at Moss Peteral when the seniors got things off to a start with a small slip of eight hounds.
Champion Winterfell was running hoping for a win on a course that would suit him better than those of late.
Embrace was back out after his win on Saturday so he would be expected to show up well.
As they showed on the finish there were four together and then a gap to the next two hounds.
When they approached the line the winning hound went behind the judges but there was time enough to judge it and then the second hound.
The winning hound was David Clifford’s Eden Rayna with the second hound Summer Spirit for Willie and Daphne Mark.

It was close for third and fourth with Linda Neale, Mark, Georgia and Josh Bryden’s Eagle Love just getting up to take third with Tom and Ryan Bell’s Ron in fourth place.
Embrace stayed on to take fifth place and a little way back it was Winterfell who finished in sixth. The win for Eden Rayna is her first win in the senior trail this year.
Next up were the open pups with a better slip of 18 but there was no title challenger Thornton while Countess Ava had run and won the night before.
Denise Bland was resting table leader Huntsman’s Time so Favourite on the night was the Bell’s Lassie who seems to like the open moorland running.

However as they came onto the finish and cleared the last wall it was a bit of a blanket finish with not much between the first six hounds.
Just on the line Millie’s Lad for George McGimpsey and Gillian and Millie Telford was awarded first followed by Baz for Sarah Bell then it was Senor for Malcolm Holmes in third.
Barry Laidler and Caroline Clough’s Snowfell was fourth; George Burgon and Carol Logan’s Mister Mally was fifth with Malcolm Holme’s Senorita claiming the sixth ticket.
The win for Millie’s Lad is his second puppy win of the season and moves him up the championship table.
Next to slip were the open maidens and it proved to be a wide open race with the bookies.
As they showed on the finish it was really any one of eight or nine hounds who were close together that could have gone on to win.

In the end it was Eagle Girl who came through to win for a very pleased Georgia Bryden. David Clifford’s other hound Eden Romina took second place with Neil and Gillian Bulman-Brown and Derek and Joel Bulman’s Hey Mac getting up for third.
Close behind was Marti Borthwick and Co’s Castle Callant in fourth. George Burgon and Carol Logan were having a good night as they took fifth and sixth places with Tallulah and Overwater Hunter.
Despite Eden Romina finishing in second place she remains top of the open maiden points competition with a 15-point gap to her nearest rival.
The last race of the night was the open restricted race with a smaller field of nine runners.
As they showed on the finish there were only three runners and it was Sandra Mordue and Lee Wall’s Denton Shamrock who came with a lead to win followed by Malcolm Holme’s Sir Robert with Eagle Star taking the last ticket as only three hounds completed the course.
Tonight see’s the first in a series of trails to be held at Redmain with a four race card and the first trail gets underway at 6.15pm.
