Kendal Town have kept hold of striker Matt Dudley for the new season in the Northern League after a successful campaign in 2023/24.
Dudley joined the club from Ramsbottom United in January and went on to score 10 goals, adding to the 19 he’d already netted at Rammy.
But midfielder Rob Wilson has gone the other way after it was confirmed he had signed for former North West Counties rivals Ramsbottom.
Wilson, a former Workington player and Kendal captain said: “I feel my game time would be limited so I decided it was time for a change.”
Kendal Town are back in action tonight with a home game against Garstang, after they beat Whitehaven of the West Lancashire League 5-1 on Saturday.
The Mintcakes have also announced that new signing Niall Cowperthwaite, formerly with Barrow and Workington, will be captain for the new season while Bailey Kenny will be his vice-captain.
Kendal Town manager Jimmy Marshall said: “I’m really pleased Niall has taken on the captaincy.
“He is a huge signing for us and is experienced at a higher level. He’s a top performer, leader and really good person.”
