Workington had a big win over Broughton in the latest round of matches in the West Cumbria Midweek League.
Winning the toss they chose to bat and racked-up a big score of 163-5 in their 20 overs with strong contributions from six of their batsmen after opener Carl Stephenson had been run out for just one.
Workington had solid contributions from Jonny Turner (20), Kyle Galea (20), Owen Thompson (25) and Liam Irving (23no) while both Grant Reid and Robson Scott retired after scoring the mandatory 31.
Broughton batted for their 20 overs but could only manage 96-8 with Edward Irwin (31 retired) top-scoring for them. Best of the bowlers for Workington was Adam Hodgson with 3-15.
