Harrison Neal spent a season on loan at Barrow, but the Carlisle United midfielder will be determined to turn over the Bluebirds this afternoon.
Ahead of the derby at Brunton Park (12.30pm) Neal has been talking to the club’s official website about what it means.
He said: “I enjoyed it there, obviously it was my first loan in the Football League so I learned a lot of things there.
“I feel like it helped me but hopefully we can beat them tomorrow and get the three points because it’s just another game.
“They’ve had a good start, obviously they’ve won the first two, but yeah, we need to just sort out a couple of things. There’s been some good things in both of those games but hopefully we can start finishing our chances and not concede at the other end.
“It’ll be a tough physical game, obviously a local derby, it’ll be a good one, should be a good crowd, hopefully we can go and win.
So how have preparations gone for the game? Neal gave his thoughts on preparations at training.
“We had the game on Tuesday so we were just preparing for that and then it’s just been all geared towards Saturday.
“We’ve been working on our shape, how we want to play, how they’re playing and how we can work against it.”
Despite two defeats, the Blues haven’t struggled to create chances in both matches. United were ranked 10th for most XG (expected goals) in the opening weekend of the EFL.
“We’ve had a lot of chances, I’ve seen a stat over there saying like we had some of the most expected goals.
“We are creating the chances. It’s just about putting the ball in the back of the net and that’ll come.
“We know Chaz can score goals and if he gets another one of those chances there’s no doubt in my mind that he’ll score it,” he said.
