Local food producers will be celebrated at an event at Rogan & Co in Cartmel later this year.

Due to take place from Tuesday November 5 to Saturday November 9, the restaurant’s menu will showcase farmers, food producers, and artisans from across Cumbria that the restaurant regularly works alongside.

It will also feature a host of other people from across the local community, including the likes of local photographer Nina Claridge, whose work will feature on the walls of the restaurant during the celebration.

A seasonal seven-course tasting menu curated by Rogan & Co head chef Tom Reeves in tandem with executive chef Paul Burgalières will showcase ingredients from some of the finest local suppliers and producers from across Cumbria, many of whom are only a few miles from the restaurant’s kitchen door, including the likes of Beary Farm, Thornby Moor Dairy, Low Sizergh Barn, Cartmel Valley Game, and Eden Yard to name a few.

A matched drinks pairing will also be available to accompany the menu, as well as several seasonal cocktails. Each is designed to highlight local producers, including the likes of Shed One, Unsworth’s Yard and Fell Brewery, with carefully matched creations being served which will be served to guests throughout the week.

Priced at £89 per person, each diner will enjoy a seven-course seasonal tasting menu including accompanying snacks served at either lunch or dinner.
