Over 1,000 people took part in a Walk to Remember to raise funds for a South Cumbrian hospice.
St Mary’s Hospice organised the event to help mark its 35th anniversary and those taking part were asked to raise a minimum of £35 each for the Ulverston charity.
Events and challenges manager, Mel Dixon, said: “The energy and enthusiasm at this year’s Walk to Remember were truly inspiring.
“To see over 1,000 people come together in support of our hospice, especially as we celebrate 35 years of service, is nothing short of incredible. The success of this year’s Walk to Remember is a testament to the strength and unity of our community.
“It was an amazing night filled with laughter, tears, and heartfelt memories as we came together to honour the wonderful people who have touched our lives. The overwhelming support we received not only celebrates their legacy but also ensures that St Mary’s Hospice can continue to provide the care and compassion that our patients and their families deserve.”
