The play-off for the Holmen Iggesund Cumberland League title will be played on Saturday at Seaton.
The decider was needed after Maryport beat Wath Brow A 26-24 to finish level at the top of the Premier Division.
With the Distington and Lowca grounds unavailable it was either Seaton or Hensingham after consultation with both coaches.
A coin toss was witnessed by both and Seaton was the chosen venue while a further coin toss was undertaken and Wath Brow won that so are deemed as the home team for the fixture.
Admission to the game will be £2 adults, £1 concessions and under-16s free.
The two teams are set to meet in the final of the Firpress Printers Cumberland Cup and it’s possible that they will also square up in the top four play-off final.
Meanwhile Seaton Rangers, who are hosting the play-off final, have been fined £1,000 by the National Conference League for not fulfilling two Division Three fixtures at Featherstone Lions and Milford.
The two outstanding fixtures were awarded to their opposition 34-9, which is the average points conceded and scored by Seaton in each of their games.
It has been Seaton’s third season in the Conference and has been wrecked by injuries, a list which kept mounting throughout the campaign.
Their initial campaign in 2022 was very good and they just missed out on promotion while last year they were affected by players joining the pro ranks.
After the fine was announced Seaton issued a statement saying: “When we joined the NCL we knew that there were standards and expectations and punitive measures that came with failing to meet those.
“We full accept the NCL management decision to impose the fine and thank them for the work they’ve done in collaboration with us as a club, in the aftermath of having to conclude the season, to shape our future plans.”
