A new luxury boutique B&B in Cumbria has secured a coveted five star rating from VisitEngland, the official tourist board for England.
Grange Manor, at Grange-over-Sands, is one of only six B&Bs or guesthouses in Cumbria to achieve the five star VisitEngland assessment.
It opened earlier this year after a £750,000 redevelopment by owners Red Door Escapes, a new company and off shoot of the South Lakes Hotels group.
The five star accreditation is only given to guest accommodation which reaches the highest standards of experience from greeting on arrival to food, furnishings and fittings.

Five star VisitEngland accredited B&Bs are expected to anticipate individual guest’s needs to create unique and memorable experiences.
They need to have excellent interior design and furniture, an excellent range of high quality accessories in each room and they need to be surrounded by well maintained, attractive garden and grounds.
Margaret Denby, of Grange Manor, said: “We are delighted to have received the accreditation. It is a rare accolade and one that we have worked hard to achieve.

“It’s a reflection on the efforts of the whole team at Grange Manor who go above and beyond to give each of our guests a memorable stay.”
Red Door Escapes now has four properties in Grange, with Bay Villa B&B and Woodhaven and Hampsfell self-catering cottages, which are on the same lane as Grange Manor.
