Staff from two Cumbrian firms will go head-to-head in a Kitchen Rivals competition to raise funds for three county charities.

The event, at Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa on November 21, will see staff from Armstrong Watson and Knights take part in a culinary showdown to cook and serve a three-course meal to 90 VIP guests.

The winning team will be determined by the amount of money raised through donations, with all funds equally distributed to Carlisle Youth Zone, Cumbria Community Foundation and Keswick Youth Centre Services.

Guests will be served by the Red Team and the Green Team. Lake District Hotels professionals support the business leaders, and the challenge for each team is to not only impress their guests with the quality of their meals but to also generate donations.

At the end of the evening, guests will place cash donations in envelopes designated by team colour. The team whose guests contribute the most will be crowned the winners of Kitchen Rivals 2024.

The evening will also feature a raffle and a charity auction, with all proceeds being divided equally between the three charities.
