A man who fled from police was arrested after officers found him in a sheep pen.
Eden police said following reports of shoplifting in B&M in Penrith today, Thursday October 24, a fast check of CCTV by a PCSO saw two men getting into a black Fiat 500.
They said although an officer was around 20 minutes behind, caught up to a car matching that description heading towards the Durham border on the A66.
Eden Police said: “Stopped the vehicle and two men ran into the fell.
“The rural crime team deployed a drone and followed him until Eden Response officers located and arrested one man.
“PC Adams located and arrested the other in a sheep pen.”
