Whitehaven have added experience to their young squad by signing forward Brad Brennan who has played for over a decade in the professional game.
The 31-year-old actually started his career in 2012 with Barrow and in the intervening years has made more than 200 senior appearances.
He has represented Barrow, York, Batley, Coventry and North Wales before having spells with Rochdale and Workington last season.
Head coach Anthony Murray knows Brennan well and has had him as a player at Barrow, North Wales and Workington Town.
He said “I have worked with Brad for a long time now and when he was interested in coming to the club I jumped at the chance to sign him.
“He has a big presence about him and is a forward who doesn’t take a step backwards. His experience will be vital to us with our young squad and Brad will lead from the front.”
