For the second League game in a row Cockermouth topped 60 points to stay in pursuit of the top three unbeaten sides in Counties 1 Cumbria.
Following their 64-5 home win over Workington the Wasps travelled to Creighton where they recorded a 62-13 victory.
Early pressure from the Wasps resulted in a penalty which was sent to touch in the corner and from the resulting line-out they spread the ball along the backs to create a nice try in the corner for full-back Ethan Cross on four minutes.
After Creighton had missed a kick at goal some positive attacking work from the Cockermouth forwards saw them provide good ball for the backs and on 12 minutes centre Spencer Fulton crossed the whitewash. Jake Moore added the conversion for a 12-0 lead.
Creighton came back into the game and after earning a second penalty it was kicked successfully by full-back Keegan Foster with 15 minutes on the clock.
Following some good play from the Wasps’ forwards and backs they went deep into Creighton’s 22 where lively scrum half Ollie Swain took the ball from the base of a ruck , threw a dummy and darted in for a try on 23 minutes which was converted by Moore.
Shortly after Creighton went down to 14 men following a sin binning and on 34 minutes Wasps earned their try bonus point with a score from winger Thomas Nixon, following great work in the backs. Moore tagged on the conversion.

Creighton scored next with another penalty on 37 minutes from Foster but it was the Wasps who had the last word of the half with a fine team try two minutes later.
The ball was stolen from a Creighton line-out on half-way and following a sweeping move in the backs Moore cut through the Creighton defence to touchdown before adding the conversion. It gave them a 33- 6 lead at the break.
The second half started how the first had ended with Cockermouth on the attack and on 44 minutes another clinical move from the backs saw Moore unselfishly put Danny Herbert in for an unconverted try.
Cockermouth were straight back onto the attach from the re-start and scored a good try by replacement Alex Woodhall which was complimented by a fine touchline conversion from Moore.
Again from the re-start the Wasps headed back up-field and a bullocking run from Lewis Bancroft, who is in fine form this season, got him over the line under the posts for an easy conversion by Moore to reach the half century mark by the 55th minute.

Shortly afterwards Cockermouth went down to 14 men with Luke Broster sin-binned for a high tackle.
Creighton took advantage of this and to their credit, scored a converted try on 60 minutes when Harry Moth went over and Foster converted, following some pressure in the Wasps 22.
Cockermouth came bouncing back though and after Creighton had another player sin binned, the hosts scored a fine try from Moore who galloped 50 yards to touch down in the corner.
With only a few minutes left the last word came from Wasps with yet another fine backs move and influential fly half Jamie Preston crossed for the final try of the game.
It was a great display of attacking rugby by Cockermouth, however, great credit should also go to Creighton who gave 100 % until the final whistle.
