Penrith lost 2-0 at home to North Shields but there were plenty of positives to take from the game.
The Bonnyblues were on the wrong end of some questionable decisions including one after 35 seconds when the visitors were awarded a penalty.
They weren’t happy either with the award of a free-kick on the edge of the area after 35 minutes which produced the second goal.
But all things considered Penrith responded well, were very good in possession and the only thing lacking was a cutting edge in the final third.
If they could have managed to pull one back in the first-half then it might have been a different story.
Chances weren’t taken throughout the game and North Shields were able to go home with the points which consolidated their play-off hope. They are up to seventh position with a game in hand of five of the six sides ahead of them.
Penrith are 12th and have another free week in which manager Darren Edmondson can get another two training sessions into his players.
