Richard Liddle has stood down as coach of Creighton – and his last game produced a 50-0 home win over Ambleside.
In the reverse encounter in the first fixture of the season Creighton scraped a win in the last minutes of the match, but after a couple of heavy home defeats they were not complacent about the task in front of them.
Creighton had been particularly pleased to welcome their visitors from the Lakes.
Recent fixtures for the hosts have been blighted by numerous player being unavailable, but a full squad of 20 was announced before the match.
In the event, the home side dominated from start to finish and the try bonus point was already in the bag at half time, with four tries and three conversions making the score 26-0.
A similar story ensued in the second half with a further four tries, two of which were converted to bring up the half century.
Creighton’s scores came from a hat trick by flanker Jason Tait, two from centre Tom Riley and one each from full back Keenan Foster, stand-off Owen Gill and number eight Alex Taylor. Foster kicked the five conversions.
