Hopefully it will be a full round of fixtures in county rugby union this weekend.
Some missed out last week because of the weather, including the two top rated sides in Cumbria.
Penrith and Kendal both missed out in Regional 1 North West and, in fact, only one game was played in that division – Manchester beat Blackburn 48-10.
Penrith resume on Saturday with a long trip to Leek who are next to bottom so it will be one that the Winters Park side have targeted.
Kendal have a very attractive home game against leaders Rossendale who have collected ten straight five point wins, underlining how tough it is going to be for the Mint Bridge side.
National 2 North often throws up a county derby with five Cumbrian sides involved and there are two.
Aspatria, who beat Upper Eden last week, now come up against Keswick in what should be a cracking contest at Bower Park.
Kirkby Lonsdale are desperately in need of points when they host Carlisle and the city side are also starting to feel just a little anxious after some poor results followed a bright start to the season.
Much more encouraging through was their effort in defeat last week at West Hartlepool and if they can carry that form into this week’s game they should be fine.
Upper Eden are another side needing to find some points after a poor run of results and they have a tough looking test at home to fourth in the table Morpeth.
Northumbrian referee Alun Ross will officiate at Kirkby Lonsdale while Martin Denvir has the Bower Park derby with Simon Barker at Pennine Park.
Some big games in Counties 1 Cumbria including St Benedict’s v Cockermouth (Martin Maughan); Egremont v Wigton (Mike Firby) and Penrith 2nds v Hawcoat Park (Jim Donald).
Also playing Ambleside v Workington (Stephen Elliott) and Millom v Creighton (Dan Shovelton).
Also a warm welcome back to experienced referee Ciaran Trainor after a serious injury and he takes Kendal 2nds v Vale of Lune 2nds.
On Sunday at Penrith (ko 3pm) Cumbria play Lancashire in an Under-18’s game with a Cumbrian Team of officials on duty.
