Police officers helped occupants of six vehicles stuck on a Lake District pass, which had been closed to traffic due to icy conditions.
Eden Neighbourhood Policing Team were deployed from Penrith to help their colleagues in Kendal after six vehicles were reported to be stuck on ice on Wrynose Pass yesterday, Saturday January 4.
Eden Police said: “We safely conveyed the occupants down the pass. Wrynose Pass is closed owing to the conditions. Please drive safely.”
Cold Fell, Birker Fell, Hardknott Pass, Newlands Pass, Wrynose Pass and Hardknott Pass have also been closed to traffic.
