Community radio station CRFM is launching in West Cumbria.
The station, which began broadcasting to Carlisle in April last year, said it was bringing a West Cumbrian service to the air at the end of March.
The service will have its own programming coming from West Cumbria from 6am to 6pm Monday to Friday, with shared shows with CRFM at the weekend.
CRFM said: “As soon as we get DAB for community stations in the Carlisle and West Cumbria areas, both services will go on to DAB.”
The company operates as a Community Interest Company (CIC) and all the staff work on a voluntary basis.
CRFM Radio broadcasts from Unit 43 at the Carlisle Enterprise Centre.
