A Barrow youngster has been invited to join a prestigious motorsport camp.
Travis Shaw, 10, will represent the renowned Danny Webb GP Camp in the UK.
Travis’ dad Dan said it marked a significant milestone in Travis’ budding career, as he joins a team of promising young riders under the mentorship of former Grand Prix racer Webb.
Travis recently honed his skills during a one-on-one coaching session with Webb in Spain.
Dan said: “Over the course of two days, he displayed remarkable focus, absorbing Webb’s expert advice and showcasing significant progress on the track.
“His dedication and rapid improvement caught Webb’s attention, leading to the prestigious invitation to join Webb’s GP camp.”

As part of the programme, Travis will benefit from comprehensive mentorship, including fitness training, nutritional guidance, and career advice.
He will also take part in exclusive training sessions at private tracks and attend specialised gym sessions, all designed to nurture his potential both on and off the track.
Travis said: “This opportunity is a massive confidence boost for me. I’m really excited to work with Danny this year and continue improving with his guidance.”
Dan added: “This opportunity promises to be a pivotal step in Travis’s journey, as he develops the skills and mindset needed to excel in the world of motorsport.
“With his passion and determination, Travis is ready to make the most of this incredible opportunity and looks forward to a bright future under Webb’s mentorship.”
