Emergency services were called to a two-vehicle collision in Ivegill, near Carlisle.
Police received a report of the collision, involving a school minibus and a car, at 4.10pm yesterday, Thursday February 27.
No serious injuries have been reported. One child is being taken to hospital with injuries not described as life threatening.
Parents of children involved have been informed, police said.
Drivers were asked to avoid the area.
The road was closed both ways between the Durdar crossroads in Durdar, near Carlisle, and Hutton End.
