A strange glowing orb has been spotted in the sky in Cumbria last night.
Many people captured the orb at around 8pm yesterday, Monday March 24, and took to social media to share their bewilderment at the UFO, which seemed to spin across the night sky.
It was visible to the naked eye.
Claire Black was one of the people who spotted it – she saw it above Cove Caravan Park at Watermillock, Ullswater.
It appears that the orb is tied into the launch of a satellite by Space X. The Falcon 9 rocket was launched at around 1.45pm from Florida’s Cape Canaveral. The satellite is on a classified government mission.
It is understood the phenomena happens when the rocket vents surplus fuel, which then freezes and mirrors the sunlight.
